Why do you have so many clothes but none at the same time?

Why do you have so many clothes but none at the same time?

As a shoppaholic, I have a constant overflowing wardrobe, yet nothing to wear - I wear the same things over and over again - why is this?

We tend to live in an era of overconsumption, buying things and clothes that may look nice but will serve us only once or twice before being tossed aside. For example we all have a “favourite” t-shirt or tank - why can’t all clothes be our favourite?

It is important to build a capsule wardrobe, made from good quality basics that fit you well and are made from great long lasting materials. This way you can mix and match all the time, maybe incorporating some special, trendy pieces sometimes.

It’s also important to not buy too much into trends as brands are always out to get us and our money. It feels like they make imperfect pieces on purpose so we keep buying more in the hope to find something better.

Pomfie, a London based clothing brand, with a motto “pretty and comfy” is a great example of a brand which creates long lasting good quality pieces to add to your loungewear wardrobe. They have pieces spanning from camis to robes and pyjamas, and try to always prioritise fit and fabric.
